There is no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard No song that I could sing, but I can try for your heart Our dreams, and they are made out of real things Like a, shoebox of photographs With sepia-toned loving Love is the answer, At least for most of the questions in my heart Like why are we here? And where do we go? And how come it’s so hard? It’s not always easy and Sometimes life can be deceiving I’ll tell you one thing, it’s always better when we’re together…
My best writing advice? Write something that people might not “enjoy” but will never forget. … Our tastes change with time, and something that persists has a chance of getting appreciated more in the future.
Te ofrezco la vida entera, para empezar… ¿Qué importa perder, si no puedes ganar?
For we are more than simple shelters for our inner libraries; we *are* the sum of these actual accumulated books. Little by little, these books have made us who we are, and they cannot be separated from us without causing us suffering.

Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging. Negativism to the pain and ferocity of life is negativism to life. We are not there until we can say ‘yeah’ to it all. To take a righteous attitude toward anything is to denigrate it. Awe is what moves us forward. As you proceed through life, following your own path, birds will shit on you. Don’t bother to brush it off. Getting a comedic view of your situation gives you spiritual distance. Having a sense of humor saves you.
When I write, I fall into the zone many writers, painters, musicians, athletes, and craftsmen of all sorts seem to share: In doing something I enjoy and am expert at, deliberate thought falls aside and it is all just there. I think of the next word no more than the composer thinks of the next note.
